Right here. Right here. In my glove. 9:45pm

Later, they tossed a foul ball up in the stands and the kid in front of us ended up with it. So he gave Ben his souvenier baseball from earlier in the night. Ben thought that was pretty special and carried it in his glove all the way to the car.

Benjamin's Little Brother

Baby Aaron's Ultrasound 22 Weeks!

He now weighs 1 pound and 6 ounces. Apparently we are going to have another BIG boy. He is about 7-8 days ahead of the developmental schedule. This ultrasound was to rule out any major heart defects and the doctor only had positive comments at this point. Now we just wait for 4 more months to go by.

We went to the Doctor today and found out that Benjamin's sybling is actually going to be a little brother. Benjamin is excited and is already calling mommy's belly Aaron. We thought the ultrasound pictures were good enough to share so we scanned them in and put them together in a video. Enjoy meeting Aaron Christopher Bouton...ETA-June 28, 2009 ish.

He got a stocking full of small toys and then unwrapped his "big" presents. He got Duplos, an Aquadoodle mat, a Handy Manny bowling set, a Cars book, a Leap Frog and game, a Pat-Pat laptop, and bath toy soaps. Pretty good haul!

Worn Out!

Benjamin had such an exciting weekend with Boo and Luis and baking with Mommy and eating all the candy from the gingerbread houses. I guess he finally crashed.

The finished product...

Notice the Tootsie Roll Sidewalk and the Blue Gumball Swimming Pool--those were Amanda's ideas. Then, there are the Peeps Snowmen playing Tug-of-War with a Twizzler and the Purple Gumballs as Smoke from the Chimney-chris came up with those.

Ben in a Cat Carrier

Yes, This is a Cat Carrier. And Yes, That is our Benjamin in it. I guess if it is good enough for TK and Izzy, it is good enough for him (at least in his eyes). We got the carrier out of the closet while doing some cleaning this weekend. After coaxing Izzy and TK into the carrier on separate occasions, he decided to try it out himself.

Funnier still, these two pictures were each taken on different occasions today. In the one where he is backing into the box, Izzy is actually in there with him. In the other one, he is indeed stuck and can't wiggle himself out without assistance. But we couldn't bring ourselves to help him out without capturing the scene to share with everyone. He actually got in there so far that we could have closed the gate and carried the carrier to another room if we wanted to.

Silly Ben.

A Toddler With a Gun?

We had a really good time at camp last weekend. Benjamin got to try a lot of new things and meet a lot of new people. One of the things we did not knowing how he would react was Riflery. We rode the "People Mover" (a.k.a. Trailer behind a Suburban) down the bumpy dirt road to the Riflery Range and he did great. We gave him a set of Headsets for ear protection and to keep him from being scared by the noise of the other kids shooting and he wore them like a big boy for about 5 minutes. After that, he took them off and gave them back. The noise was clearly not an issue for him. Shortly after that, he started asking for his target and informing everyone that it was almost his turn. Obviously, no one in their right mind is going to just hand a 2 year old a loaded gun, but we decided to give him the illusion of participating. He was a very big boy, sitting on Daddy's lap and helping shoot the target. All seven shots hit the target and he was pretty proud of that target as he ran it back over to Mommy on the bench. Clearly, we don't want to encourage guns and violence, but we felt that in this environment, with this supervision, it was as good a time as any to expose him to the existence of this sport.

Peek-a-Boo

While we were unpacking from our trip last weekend, Benjamin decided to play hide and seek in the suitcase.
